Estarli expands e-bike range for 2024

The folding e-bike experts from Hertfordshire have added new models and new technology to their 2024 offering. After what was a tumultuous 2023 for the broader bike Industry, Estarli bucked the trend and continued to grow its sales, e-bike range and retail partners. “In 2024 we are focusing our attention on families, commuters and safety”, says Co-Founder Oliver Francis. “The brand new e-cargo Longtail best personifies our family-focus but our whole range of e-bikes are kid-friendly”. Estarli will soon announce some exciting news about their commuter-focused bikes but they are also seeing a lot of traffic for their branded commuter bags. Oliver continues, “we have been delighted about the attention our commuter-themed accessories have received so we will continue to put energy into that space to make people’s lives and transitions even easier. We are going to expand our accessories offering further and if we don’t make things in-house, we will still advise people are products and tech which can improve their trips. Then when it comes to safety, we are increasingly aware that bike theft is deterring those who have not previously ridden but are considering changing how they travel. We now offer BikeTrax GPS fitting on most of our e-bike range and that will expand to encompass the entire range in a few months time.” BikeTrax is the most reliable GPS theft-protection system in the bike industry.

Estarli’s founding brothers are both very excited about 2024 and with young families, it is perhaps natural that the move into the e-cargo space excites them the most. Alex Francis says, “when the demo e-cargo I tend to use is off with a journalist or retail partner my daughters get really cross with me! Aside from the more trivial fun that they have on the school run, for me it’s just such a joy to slide past the congested traffic while saying ‘hello’ to other people cycling or walking.” When designing the bike, the Estarli brothers put their focus into something that would be easy to use for new riders. Alex says, “the ergonomics and riding position of the owner is specifically built for comfort, stability and ease of use. We didn't want to make a heavy-feeling bike that only experienced cyclists would feel comfortable on. Instead we have worked very hard to create something that can be ridden by all. That is why we have used such high-end components like the Enviolo gearing system that allows you to select the most appropriate gear even when you are standing still.” The Estarli e-cargo belt-drive combined with the mid-drive motor and well-balanced weight distribution of the bike make setting off, maneuvering and braking all very intuitive. For Alex, this longtail had to have it all: “We really didn't leave anything out with this one; chunky tyres for grip, front suspension for comfort, folding handlebars for storage, hydraulic disc brakes for safety to name a few and there's plenty more.” Estarli hopes the high-spec e-cargo has a place in the market for a growing number of environmentally-conscious and cost-saving families. When combined with salary sacrifice via cycle schemes, it becomes a really logical alternative to a second car.
